私たちについて

日本、タイ、インドの旅…。自然豊かな風景と昔ながらの暮らし、手仕事に心惹かれた記憶はわたしたちのモノづくりの素になっています。 標高２５００メートル、雪山の景色が美しいインドヒマラヤ地方の村で編まれるニット、いつも明るく陽気なタイの人々が作る手織り布、リズミカルな手縫のステッチ、古いシャトル織機、正確なミシンの縫い目、丁寧な仕事で支えてくれる日本の職人さんたち。
様々な土地、人たちを通してえみおわすの服は作られています。

ABOUT US 

We traveled in Thailand, India and all around Japan, where we were fascinated by natural beauty,old-fashioned life and handwork. Our creation is based on these memories.
Knitwears made at a Himalayan village with beautiful scenery of snow-covered mountains, 2,500 meters high, Hand-woven fabric and rhythmic hand-stitch made by cheerful people in Thailand, Japanese craftspeople who use old shuttle to make fabric fluffy like hand-woven  and support us with careful work such as regular seams of a sewing machine.
Clothes provided by EMIOWASU are made by various kinds of people in many different areas.

素　材

タイ北部カレン族の村で腰機で織られた木綿、インドの手紬手織りのカディ、標高2000mを超えるヒマラヤ地方の村で手編みで作る羊毛のニットやショール生地、ベルギーやリトアニアのリネン。インドやパキスタンで栽培されるオーガニックコットン。浜松の遠州織りの高密度木綿、愛知県の尾州織りのウール地、岡山の帆布やデニムなど日本各地に残る機屋の布。それぞれ違った手触りや着心地、風合いが魅力です。

MATERIALS

Cotton woven with a backstrap loom by Karens in northern Thailand
Khadi, hand-spun and hand-woven cotton in India
Hand-knit woolen fabrics and wears by Himalayan villagers who live at mountain range higher than 2,000 meters Linen made in Belgium and Lithuania Organic cotton grown in India and Pakistan Fabrics in Japanese weaving shops, for example “Enshu-ori”, finely woven cotton in Hamamatsu “Bishu-ori”, woolen fabrics woven in Aichi prefecture and Canbas and denim fabrics made in Okayama prefecture.

 

The each has different texture and feeling, which can attract you.

色

木綿、麻、ウールそのままの色、晒したオフ白、琉球藍、インド藍で染めた水色、青、紺、さまざまな濃淡の藍色、ラック虫の赤、ログウッドの黒、紫、ザクロのグレー、クスノハガシワの黄など虫や植物の色。
反応染料（化学染料）で染めた糸や生地も使用しています。

COLORS

Own ecru color and bleached off-white of cotton, linen and wool,
Every shade of Indigo blue --- light-blue, blue, deep-blue --- using leaves of Assam indigo and Indian indigo,
Colors using insects and plants --- red from lac insect, black from logwood, gray from pomegranate, yellow from kamala,
Reactive (chemical) dyes.

着る人が引き立つシンプルで直線に近いパターンで服を作れるように、昔から作られている服をヒントに脇や股のマチを入れて動きやすいように。
生活着、仕事着、晴れの服として、なるべく長く着られるような普遍的な形、丁寧な始末を心掛けています。
